Day 40 - Legs and Back

Had a great workout with this. Breathing pretty hard and sweating a good amount throughout the workout which is a good sign. It's not as hard as it used to be but it's still pretty damn hard haha. Pullups seem to be getting easier but I still do it with the help of a chair but the actual pulling up is a lot easier. Most of the reps in each of the legs workout go up to 24 and I was only still able to do 15 or so. Like I said it's getting easier but that doesn't mean these workout dont kick the crap out of you. It took a lot of pushing to get myself to do this workout today due to lack of motivation but I just have to keep on pushing forward or else I'll never get to where I want to be. Overall I did do a great workout and pushed myself pretty hard . . . as for Ab Ripper I have to say that I did not do. Unfortunately my motivation ran out before I could do it. There's no excuse and I'll try ti make up for it tomorrow.

Day 39 - Yoga

Ok, tonight was a crummy night. I was sooooo unmotivated to do anything, but I did at least do 30 minutes of Yoga. The moving poses which are the difficult ones are in the first 45 minutes which means I cut out 15 minutes of it. I feel like I got a workout but it could've been better. Thats the thing about working out everyday though, sometimes you're gonna have an off day and tonight was mine. I gotta get my shit together especially in Yoga. It seems to be the only workout that I just have no connection with. All the other workouts I get pumped and can muster through it. I think perhaps it's because Yoga moves at such a slower rate. Whatever, we'll see what happens from here.

Day 38 - Back and Biceps

I love love love this workout. I mainly did all my bicep curls with 25 lbs which is a step up from 20 lbs. I definitely got stronger since last time I was only able to keep up with the dvd on 20 lbs. Overall this is one of my favorite workouts and it rocks my arms out. By the end I felt like I had Jello for arms yet my biceps were hard and frim . . . yeah you heard me ladies haha.

Day 37 - Plyometrics

You know I certainly thought that by phase 2 Plyometrics would be a little easier... but it's still FUCKIN' HARD!!! haha. It kicked my butt again today and I was even feeling spry and pumped up to do it. After the first half of jumping higher than I usually do I was huffing and puffing like crazy. I guess I paid the price for it. Overall it was another great workout and I tried to push the intensity but it crashed down on me and I was feeling gassed by the end of it. I chose not to do the bonus just because I was feeling completely dead at that point. It's a little disappointing but overall I did the workout and it was intense so I'm definitely happy with that fact.

Day 36 - Chest Shoulder and Triceps

This workout is amazingly intense. I'm only able to do about 10 - 15 reps of each workout but it feels like I worked out for hours. Even now as I'm typing, my shoulders and chest are shaking and feeling really sore . . . I love this feeling haha. As before the push ups are very unorthodox consisting of moving push ups, one arm push ups etc etc and I think that's what makes it feel so intense. Its just an intense workout plain and simple. I can't wait to do it again and at the same time I dread it.

I'm opting to do Ab Ripper tomorrow morning because I didnt have time to do it due to errands I have to go do. Last time I said that I was gonna do Ab Ripper the next day, I had totally forgot and didn't do it but this time I vow it'll be done first thing in the morning.

Day 35 - Rest

Rested today and it's also Christmas day so it worked out perfectly.

Friday, December 24, 2010

Day 34 - Kenpo

Great Kenpo workout except my body was screaming at me from the double day I pulled yesterday. I did Yoga and Legs and Back in the same day which just about obliterated my legs and doing Kenpo today was excruciating haha but all in that good sore pain that workouts bring you. It was tough but again I enjoyed Kenpo and it was a good way to start Christmas eve. I'll also not feel so guilty when eating some good food tonight.

Merry Christmas everyone and stay healthy.

Day 33 - Legs and Back

HOLY CANOLE!!! This workout was very very tough today for some reason but I think it's because I did Yoga this morning and my legs were already wonky and to turn around and do Legs and Back just about killed me. haha. I did it though and was sweating profusely. Most of the reps I only did 15 to 20 but I was really feeling it. Next week is gonna be different and I'm gonna kick it in the nutsack. All in all I did the workout and its better than quitting or not doing it.

Mental note though, I need to really crack down on eating healthier and smaller portions. I'm nearing the end of week 1 of phase 2 and I need to get serious about it. 'Nuff said.

I did opt to do Ab ripper tomorrow instead of today. My body is pretty much toasted.

Day 32 - Yoga

Did 45 minutes of Yoga and I was sweating sweating sweating. It does feel good to stretch out the muscles and really feel limber. It's crazy how for the total amount of time during the Yoga workout I am just completely uncomfortable haha. I'm doing a double workout today since I couldn't do the Yoga workout yesterday due to lack time so I'm making up for it by doing Yoga this morning and then Legs and Back later tonight.

I weighed myself today and took pics but there's not a whole lot of difference in the pics so I wont post it hahaha. I'm still a bit shy to reveal thy love handles. There's a slight difference but it's still too early to see any dramatic results. My weight wen I started was hovering around 238 to 240 which is why I started P90X. My current weight is hovering around 235 which means I lost a little bit but not a dramatic amount. I do feel more muscular and fit so I think at 30 days the difference is more in how you feel than how you look, which is fine by me. I feel great. We'll see what day 60 holds for me :-)

Day 31 - Back and Biceps

This workout I really enjoyed. There was a lot of great bicep workouts that really give you some rocks haha. I worked out at my apartment's gym and used a variety of weights. I used mainly 25 lbs for all my bicep workouts and used 30 lbs for the hammer curls and lawnmowers. There isnt a pull up bar at the gym but they do have a pull down machine which works the same and there was only one workout I couldn't really do which was the towel pull ups due to the fact that I didn't have a towel but also it'd be hard to control the bar with the towel. I opted to just do regular pull down form. I also had a weird time doing the corn cob pull up on the machine. Those two workouts were ones I couldn't do fully but the bicep workouts I totally ripped. The end is a workout where you do 4 different weight sets 8 reps in a row. I started with 30 lbs then 25 lbs then 20 lbs and then finally 15lbs. Overall this workout I felt a bit clumsy but since it's my first time I think that's a given. I definitely need to get used to it more but I know that'll happen next week.

Ab ripper was awesome. I did 18 reps of each workout and it felt great.

Day 30 - Plyometrics

Plyo is THE HARDEST workout in the P90X program and today reminded me of that. I think the week off from Plyo softened me a bit coz I was dying tonight. I had to pause a few times and felt like I was gonna puke and lightheaded in more than one of the workouts. It was tough and pushing through was even tougher but I'm proud to say that I did it. I had to bow out of the bonus round though, my legs and body was just kaput at that point. I know for sure that the next plyo I'll definitely be able to do better than today, it's just that I think having a week off threw me off a bit but I think thats the whole point of the muscle cofusion concept. All in all it was a ripping workout and I'm glad no one was in the gym to see me cry and suck in air like I was drowning haha. Good workout for sure.

OFFICIALLY DONE 30 DAYS OF P90X!!! BOOM!!! I'll post pics tomorrow . . . unless I'm still shy about it haha

Saturday, December 18, 2010

Day 29 - Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps

FUUUUUUCK!!!! Yeah this workout came down on me like Mjolnir. Today was day one of Phase 2 and it was all unorthodox style push ups, shoulder presses, and tricep workouts. What killed me most was the push up workouts, they pretty much reduced my chest and arms to quivering Jello. It was one arm push ups, moving side push ups, and slow rise push ups. The kind that really threw my body off for a loop after doing the last Phase of generic push ups. Overall though I didnt feel like I did a lot of reps but my body is crying out in soreness due to how tough even 5 reps of one push up can be hahaha but to be honest I really loved that workout. I liked the fact that it gave me a burn and just kicked my ass. Low down dirty hardcore workout to pump muscles. My kind of workout.

I only did 15 reps of each exercise in ab ripper to get me back into the flow. I realized I could do more and on the next session I'm gonna go up to ding 18 reps. Felt good to feel like I'm getting better and stronger.

Friday, December 17, 2010

Day 28 - Rest

Today is a rest day and I'm going to enjoy it thoroughly. Tomorrow begins phase 2 and I'm eager to start it . . . but not THAT eager hahaha. I have noticed a difference in my physique as well as others so that's really motivating me to keep pressing on and get to that 90th day. I know days will come when I won't feel like doing any workout but I'm really going to try my best to intensify my efforts in phase 2.

Thursday, December 16, 2010

Day 27 - Kenpo

A fun workout. I'm starting to really love Kenpo. It's a tough workout and I still struggle once in a while but I'm really starting to hit my stride with it. This workout marks the end of recovery week. Tomorrow is rest day and then I jump into Phase 2 of the program. From what it looks like its the same as Phase 1 which consists of three weeks of different workouts everyday but I think Phase 2 has harder workouts to really kick my muscles into overdrive. I'm pretty much done with the first 30 days. WOOT WOOT!!!

Day 26 - Core Synergistics

This workout is a killer. I was breathing and panting and sweating the whole time and I pushed myself to try as hard as I could to keep up with the dvd. I had to pause a few times because I was so pooped. One of the hardest is the Prison Cell workout which I am only able to do five. I hope when next I do this workout I will be able to do at least ten. I won't be seeing this workout though until the next recovery week. I did do the bonus round and finished strong with that. Overall I loved this workout because of how tough it is.

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

Day 25 - Stretch

An easy day of stretching. Pretty much the equivalent of a rest day. Uhhhh yeah iit was easy haha. Tomorrow is Core again and I'm bringing it hard.

Monday, December 13, 2010

Day 24 - Kenpo

Great workout today. I felt a little sluggish due to lack of food I'm sure but I still pressed on. Nothing much else to report. I can go a little bit faster as far as keeping up with the dvd and I'm still drenched in sweat by the end of it. I wish all the workouts were as fun as Kenpo haha. Six more days and I'll be done with the first phase of P90X.

Sunday, December 12, 2010

Day 23 - Core Synergistics

I forgot how tough Core Synergistics was. Its a mash of almost every body part in order to strengthen the core. I know that my core is my weakest part, all of my fat is situated mainly on my stomach area so this workout was pretty hard for me. I kept up fairly well with the dvd given the fact that its my first day on Core Synergistics but I got really winded on a lot of the workouts. All in all though I did pretty good for the shape I'm in. I actually cant wait to do this workout again and get better at it. There was a bonus round that consisted of three workouts, I thought I would be ale to do them but after I did the first workout I realized I was toast and opted to stop. So overall I did 1/3 of the bonus. I felt that I did really well but could do better and the next time I'm gonna push a little more.

Saturday, December 11, 2010

Day 22 - Yoga (Recovery week)

I only did the first half of Yoga today which is the first 45 minutes. It's the sequences of poses that are constantly moving and gives me the most cardio workout. I feel kind of crummy for not finishing but I am also gonna do Core Synergistics tonight and plan on busting my ass with that one. I feel a little good about knowing that I did the workout and it's better than not doing anything. Weak moments, we all have them as human beings haha. I'll do my very best to not be lazy towards Yoga but it is the least favorite of my workouts just for the sole reason that it's an hour and a half long. Out of all the workouts Yoga is the only one that I go "Awww man, I dont wanna do Yoga" haha. All the others I'm like "BOOM Let's do this" but it's definitely much better than hating the others and just liking one. Anyways movin on. Core is coming and I'm gonna kill it :-)

Thursday, December 9, 2010

Day 21 - Rest

Today is a rest day before recovery week. ahhhhhhhhhh

Day 20 - Kenpo

AAAAAAAAAND WEEK 3 IS FINISHED!!! Todays workout was Kenpo and I pushed my sore and aching body to the extreme. I even went as far as going faster than the dvd. I went to my apartment gym and worked out there so I can fully jump around and not make a racket to the apartment below me. I wanted to really push myself and finish week 3 with ferocity. It felt great and I do feel myself in better shape as I did the workout. It felt easier but not easy in the sense that I wasnt sweating coz man o man was I sweating. I dont think I really have to worry about keeping up with Kenpo but I'm glad it still works me out to the point of exhaustion.

WEEK 3 - COMPLETE

After next week I'm gonna post pics of me on day one and day 30.

Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Day 19 - Legs and Back

This workout today was tough. It felt easier than day 1 but it was still intense and I was dripping with sweat and breathing hard. Each workout I did short of what the dvd did, for instance if they did 25 I did 15 and if they did 20 I did 12. There were some that I couldn't handle like the single leg wall squats and the Groucho walk. My legs are still not completely in great shape that I can keep up with the dvd. I did do my best and I pushed even harder since I knew that this was the last Legs and Back before recovery week. i'm starting to like this workout due to how fast it does go. It's hard but when you do it you dont realize that time is flying and the next thing you know it's halfway over and then it's ten minutes left and then BAM it's over, buuuut then there's Ab ripper.

Ab ripper I pushed myself to doing 18 reps instead of 15 this time around. I knew it was the last ab ripper until recovery week so I wanted to get a jump start before phase two. It killed but it felt great and it wasn't as hard as I thought.

Day 18 - Yoga

Yoga was the same as the other past Yoga days. Hard as hell but very refreshing. My body feels like its gone through three wash cycles. P90X!!! I HATE IT . . . but I LOVE IT!!! and thats really the best way to describe these workouts. I hate working out everyday and kicking my own ass and the pain that comes with it but I do love the feeling of finishing a workout. My body feels refreshed and energized and strong. It just feels fantastic :-) Its a great feeling going out in public and feeling confident and strong. I dont intend to stop, but I am extremely tired right now so I'm gonna crash. haha

Monday, December 6, 2010

Day 17 - Soulders and Arms

BOOM! I crushed that workout haha. I felt good going through it and I finished pretty strong. I did the most I could with my 20 lb weights. The shoulder presses I pushed through until my muscles burned which was about 20 - 25 reps and the bicep stuff I did the best I could with the little amount of weight which was around 15 - 20 reps. I definitely need to buy at least four 5 lb weights to give myself more intensity in the bicep workouts. This is the last Shoulder and Arms before recovery week and I wanted to really push myself. It was a great workout and my arms are feeling tight and worked out. Ab ripper was intense as usual and I hate it. . . but I love it. Did 15 reps of each workout. After recovery week I'm gonna push it up to 18 reps.

Three more days and I'll be done with the main part of phase one. I cant wait for phase two . . . but at the same time I can definitely wait for phase two. haha

Sunday, December 5, 2010

Day 16 - Plyometrics

This is the last Plyometrics workout before the recovery week and it kicked my ass once again. I was fully into it and gung ho into getting through the workout but my body it seems is more tired than I thought. The first couple of rounds I was totally into it and all cylinders were firing but after that my body was slowly burning out and running out of gas. I had to push myself through finishing the workout and some of the workouts I didn't fully do all the reps. I'm a little bummed that I let Plyo push me around a little but I did finish and not quit so I can at least say I did that. I understand now why there's a recovery week after three weeks,  these workouts really pound you down but thats what one has to do to get into great shape. I didn't do the bonus round again but I knew I wasn't going to. I'm gonna save that for after the recovery week. That's month 2 and thats when I'll be pushing myself into the next level.

All in all though I did push myself and worked hard so it was a great workout and I'm glad I pushed through it.

Day 15 - Chest and Back

Started week 3 feeling great. Today was Chest and Back and my goal for each push up was 12 reps or more. In the beginning I hit 15 reps on each workout but as I grew tired I hit 12 which was my goal so it felt good. I definitely feel stronger and can feel the difference from day one. Pull ups felt easier as well. I still need the help of a chair but it's a lot easier to pull my self up. My goal was to hit 10 reps per workout and I hit it for the most part. Near the end though I only made it to 8 reps. Next week is recovery week and there's no Chest and Back but when week 5 starts I'm gonna shoot for doing 15 reps per push up and 12 per pull up. During week 5 - 7 I'm definitely going to push myself a lot more. Ab ripper was killer and I definitely gotta crank it up to more reps in week 5.

Thursday, December 2, 2010

Day 14 - Rest day

Uhhhh, yeah today i'm gonna rest. Nuff said. Tomorrow begins week 3. BRING IT!!!

Day 13 - Kenpo

Kenpo felt great. Its still very challenging and some of the moves really burn up your arms or legs but I kept up well with the dvd and was sweating like crazy. It's a great cardio workout, I didnt feel dog tired or dead and I finished with gas in the tank. Overall I love finishing a week's workout with Kenpo, it goes by fast and it's really energizing.

WEEK 2 - COMPLETE

Tuesday, November 30, 2010

Day 12 - Legs and Back

Today was a pretty tough workout, more so than usual. My body just didnt seem to be into it but I pushed through and finished the dvd. I guess there will be days like this and the important thing is to keep going. Legs and Back consists of a lot of squats and pull ups and I was breathing and sweating more so than usual. I felt lazy and lethargic but i kept telling myself to keep on keepin on. I stuck to doing 15 reps per workout which was the same as last week which means that next week i'm gonna push it through to 20 reps. Hopefully my body will be up and 100 percent by the next Legs and Back session, but no matter what I'll still push 20 reps. Ab ripper seems to be getting a little easier so next week I'm pushing my reps to 18 reps. Maaaaybe 20 reps.

One more day (Kenpo) and then week 2 will be in the bag.

Monday, November 29, 2010

Day 11 - Yoga

Still a challenge for me this Yoga. There are some poses that I feel like I'm getting better at and then there are some that are just way too advanced. I do the best I can and thats what counts and I'm sure I'll eventually get really good at Yoga. I have noticed that some of the poses I have trouble with due to my spare tire that gets in the way but like I said I'm sure that'll remedy itself. My only real compliant is that Yoga is an hour and a half long compared to the others which are just under an hour but I'm sure Yoga will whip me into shape big time. Just doing it I can feel it working. Day 11 is in the books and I'm closing in on my goal.

Sunday, November 28, 2010

Day 10 - Shoulders and Arms

Today's workout was shoulder presses, bicep and tricep curls. I've never really had a problem with this workout since i've kinda always had decent upper body strength. I kept up with the dvd but also made sure that I was geting an intense workout. My only problem I think is that my weight set only goes up to 20 lbs per dumbell so I need to invest in getting at least a set of four 5 lb weights which will add 10 lbs to each dumbell. I tried to shoot for 15 - 20 reps per workout. 15 reps more so than 20. The workout still gave me a really intense workout and my arms felt burned out so thats always a good thing but I do need more weights in the next couple weeks or else I'll be lifting things that will be too light for me. Ab ripper was intense as always but it felt a little easier this time around. I only did 15 reps per workout and I'll probably bump it up to 18 in week 3.

10 days down, 20 more before I hit the first marker. 30 DAYS INTO P90X!!!

Saturday, November 27, 2010

Day 9 - Plyometrics

This son of a bitch of a workout still kicks my ass all over the floor. Plyometrics which is the jump training workout is tough tough tough. I attempted to up my intensity by doing a few more reps than I did last week but in the middle I was sucking wind and my legs were jello. I pushed on though and did the same amount that I did last week which was 20 seconds worth of each workout instead of the 30 the dvd does. I did hit one of my goals which was I promised myself that I would not push pause and indeed I didn't. I opted again to not do the bonus round at the end since I was already completely exhausted at that point. The bonus round is the last 8 minutes of the workout and it's not too bad but after going through the regular workout it's pretty daunting. I will try to do them next week which I think I'll be in much better shape after finishing week 2.

Week 2 Day 2 - COMPLETE

Friday, November 26, 2010

Day 8 - Chest and Back

Week 1 is history and now I'm day 1 into week 2 which is Chest and Back. I tried to do a little more than week one and i did but it was highly difficult. Week one I did about 10 reps per push up and 5 reps per pull up and I aimed to do 12 reps per push up and 8 reps per pull up this time around. In the beginning I did about 12 but slowly I weened down to doing 8 - 10 push ups and 5 pull ups. All around it was intense and i was really pushing myself. I want to be able to be doing 15 - 20 push ups and 10 - 12  pull ups maybe even more by the end of day 30. Ab ripper was intense as always. Last week I did 12 reps per workout and this week I'm aiming for doing 15 reps. Every week on Ab Ripper I'm going to keep going up on my reps.

All in all I'm very happy and motivated that i'm in week 2 and can't wait to be writing in this blog saying it's my thirteenth week.

Thursday, November 25, 2010

Day 7 - Rest

Today was my rest day and it's thanksgiving so it worked out perfectly. I also didn't pig out and really watched my intake so I was proud of that. Tomorrow begins week 2. I'm well on my way BABY!!!

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

Day 6 - Kenpo

Week 1 is officially in the bag. This is the last workout of the week and then its rest day. After that day though week two starts it all over again. BRING IT ON!!! haha Today was Kenpo and it's the funnest of all the workouts. Time flies with this workout and you sweat your butt off as you punch, kick, knee, and block your way to fitness. I kept up perfectly with the dvd which I'm very proud to say, but again it kept me on my toes the whole way through . . . literally. The only time I kinda fell short was when they did X jacks which is something you do during the minute and a half or rest periods in between the workouts. My heart rate is pretty up there so I use the time to just do regular jumping jacks and also to lower my rate so that i can be ready for the next batch of workouts. Kenpo is a great way to end a week of P90X.

Time for rest now but I'm so happy to know that I got through the first week. Awesomeness

Tuesday, November 23, 2010

Day 5 - Legs and Back

This workout I think is the toughest of all the workouts next to Plyometrics. Legs and back consists primarily of squats, calf raises, and more squats and the dreaded wall sit and the even more evil single leg wall sit. This was tough for me and I was sweating the whole time. There were times when my legs felt like fire and during a set called the chair pose I yelled out just coz it hurt so bad haha. The workouts asks that you do 25 reps but I was only able to do about 10 -15 reps, which I think is fine since it's my first week. I do intend to raise the bar as I continue P90X. The other half of today's workout is back which is pull ups. I felt pretty strong doing these pull ups and although I didn't do anymore than what i did on day one I felt stronger today. I did 10 reps of each pull up workout but in the end i was only able to do 5 reps due to fatigue.

Ab ripper is still murder haha. I don't think it'll ever get easy but I at least did 15 reps of each workout instead of 10 or 12.

I'm not stopping until I'm ripped haha I want to say that at least once in my life I had a body like this.

Too ambitious you say? I say it depends on how much you want it, and believe me I want it. . . uhhhh not Daniel Craig. . . I want to be as fit as he is. AAAAAND this mother fucker is a decade older than me. If he can do it ten I'm gonna do it. :-)

Monday, November 22, 2010

Day 4 - Yoga

Just finished day 4 which is the Yoga workout. This is the longest of the workouts being an hour and a half long and it certainly hurts for that long as well. I had a lot of trouble with many of the hard balancing poses as well as the poses that require you to really be flexible. I'm not that flexible especially in the midsection. My biggest weakness I believe is my core which is the one thing I really hope to remedy after all's said and done. Near the end of the workout there's a series of poses called yoga belly seven which consists of really working on the abs and core. My abs are still sore from Ab ripper X and more than a few of the poses I epically failed in. Oh well it's only week one and I intend to be awesome at all these workouts in 86 days :-)

Overall yoga is intense. I have never unleashed so much sweat and barely really moved. I love some of the stretches and I do love the feeling of working out my muscles in a different way other than lifting weights. I'm focused and I intend to be fit as fit can be for the rest of my life. Let's keep going!!!

Sunday, November 21, 2010

Day 3 - Shoulders and Arms

Day 3 is in the books. Today's workout was shoulders and arms, consisting of shoulder presses, bicep curls, and tricep curls. This workout is probably the easiest for me among the whole P90X workouts. I pretty much kept up with the people in the dvd but my dumbell set only goes to 20 lbs so i'm very limited in how heavy i can go, but i noticed that the people in the dvd range around doing only 20 - 30 lbs so I believe I did really well on this workout. Of course I'm not saying it was easy, far from it actually. The tough part is following their pace because they go from workout to workout with no break period in between, so it gives very little recovery period on your muscles. My average rep on each workout was between 10 to 15. After that workout is Ab Ripper X and much like on day 1 I was only able to do half of the reps ( 12 reps per ab workout ). My abs are still sore from day 1 so it was excruciating doing abs again haha. Overall I loved this workout, I just need to buy more weights soon for my dumbells.

Oh and I forgot to state my weight goal on day 1 so here it is. . .

Goal Weight - 200 lbs

Saturday, November 20, 2010

Day 2 - Plyometrics

I just finished day 2 which is Plyometrics (a.k.a. jump training) and this is the most intense of all the workouts. It consists of squats and jumps and leg work and it nearly killed me. About a quarter of the way in my legs were already shaking and feeling like linguini. At a point my left thigh even quit on me and i fell haha which i saw as a sign of me pushing myself until my own body gave up on me. Each of the workouts are 30 seconds long but since its my first week and i was pretty much catching my wind the whole workout I pretty much stopped at 20 seconds. Not that I wanted to but my legs screamed in pain and burned like a thousand suns. At the end of the regular workout is a bonus round consisting of 3 more fast paced workouts. I opted to pass on the bnus round for now since it's just week one but my goal is to eventually do the full workout and keep in pace with the people on the dvd. Overall it was a great intense workout.

Day 1 - Chest and Back

Hello there, well I just finished day 1of the P90X workout. It was chest and back and it consisted of doing push ups and pull ups. The last workout is Ab ripper X which focuses on your core. I gotta say that it was pretty intense and at the end my body wouldn't let me do a lot due to how much my arms felt like noodles. I pretty much hovered doing 5-10 reps on the push ups and pull ups. In the beginning I was doing 20 reps of push ups and about 10 reps of pull ups with the help of a chair but as i grew tired I was only able to do about 5 to 8 reps of push ups and only 5 reps of pull ups with major difficulty. All in all though it's day 1 and I intend to get better as I continue down the weeks or training. In Ab ripper X you're supposed to do 20 to 25 reps of each exercise but I was too drained and only did 10 reps.

Here are my stats for day 1.

Weight - 235 lbs
